Medical Education Building

Medical Education Building , University of Windsor

The third floor fit-out project at the Medical Education Building included an extensive review of AODA proposed standards and their potential implementation into the design.

Included in this project was a fully-accessible universal unisex toilet room including provision for a future adult change table, emergency call button with speakerphone, and a fully-accessible urinal.

The entire floor features widened doors for easier maneuvering in a mobility device, and rooms incorporate larger turnaround spaces for those in mobility devices including scooters. Inside the building entrance a wayfinding kiosk is located with both visual and auditory navigational features.
